Description: All legal boundaries and names are as of January 1, 2020. Released February 2, 2021.The 2020 ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTAs) (5-digit) were delineated using 2020 Blocks and have been added to this product. The county-level Topological Faces (Polygons With All Geocodes) have been updated with a new ZCTA520 field containing the GEOCODE for the 2020 ZTCAs. Released August 6, 2021.The 2020 tabulation blocks in this product are updated to include the 2020 Census population and housing unit counts. The updated file record layout for the 2020 tabulation blocks can be found on the TIGER/Line Shapefiles Technical Documention page. Population counts from the 2020 Census are subjected to random noise as part of the Disclosure Avoidance System (DAS) efforts to protect the privacy of our survey respondents. All questions on the disclosure avoidance methodologies of the Census Bureau can be directed towards: ced.drb.coordinator@census.gov. Released February 23, 2022.The 2020 Public Use Microdata Areas were delineated using 2020 Blocks and have been added to this product. Released August 9, 2022.The 2020 Urban Areas were delineated using 2020 Blocks and have been added to this product.
